So on my ocean Thrift Quest I came across this gizmo and snapped it for $29.99 CAD. Retails for around $600 CAD give or take.
Only two of the modules worked. The defect one showed charging but did not turn on.
So my DIY Teardown begins.
It's not pretty but I used some pliers one to hold the module and the other to pry the grey top off. Now you can see the guts a bit.

So I ordered the same spec battery from Aliexpress which took like a month to get and costed around $15 CAD. Snipped the wires to connect...positive first (red). The battery was a lil snug. I had to remove some of the padding and shift the vibrator unit inside and tuck the wires in the inner spaces as possible.
Ideally you want to charge first to turn on but I couldn't wait and lo and behold it turns on like new.
Had to really push the guts back in with the new battery because it was so snug but it worked out. Put some electrical tape around but I guess you can use glue too.
So with that I hope you enjoyed my endeavor into getting this unit back online. For over $600 and out of warranty and having a module go out that would be a bummer.
